Sotirios Hatjoullis studied English Literature at Lancaster University and took his Masters at King's College London in Shakespeare Studies: Text & Playhouse, which also gave him the opportunity to study at Shakespeare's Globe. He subsequently took a six-month research internship with Globe Education, where he worked on the department's Read not Dead performances, reviving the plays of Shakespeare's often overlooked contemporaries. The Spanish Tragedy marks his producing debut.
